¢£Welcome Massege

Dear members,
The 62nd Annual Congress of The Japan Society of Acupuncture and Moxibustion (JSAM) will be held in Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan. Because the Kyushu Shinkansen Bullet Train has opened between Kagoshima and Fukuoka, traveling has become very convenient for congress committee members. It will take only 1 hour and 19 minutes, and, therefore, we will be able to strive as one, preparing the Kyushu congress with a united effort.
ACROS Fukuoka, the venue of the congress, is located in Tenjin, the center of Fukuoka City. To get to Tenjin by subway, it takes 11 minutes from Fukuoka Airport, and 5 minutes from Hakata Station. Tenjin is the center of food culture and fashion in Fukuoka, and we hope you will fully enjoy them.
We sincerely look forward to seeing you here in Fukuoka.

Daiichiro Shimizu
President, The 62nd Annual Congress of The Japan Society of Acupuncture and Moxibustion

Dear members,
We are preparing the 62nd Annual Congress of The Japan Society of Acupuncture and Moxibustion (JSAM). The Congress is planned for June 7 to 9, 2013 in Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan, and it is our great honor and pleasure to welcome you.
Recently, the number of acupuncture universities and schools in Japan has increased, and, therefore, the number of acupuncturists has also increased but beyond public demand from the society. In this situation, it is extremely important for acupuncturists to improve their knowledge and techniques.
Although the progress of Western medicine in recent years has been quite remarkable, the chances for ¡Èskin contact¡É in clinics might have decreased. Therefore, we would like to propose the theme for this congress as ¡ÈAcupuncture and skin contact- human communication through the mind and body¡É. We believe that we should return to the starting point of acupuncture practice, that is, to recognize the importance of contact with and listening to patients.
We sincerely hope that we can discuss knowledge and techniques, and hopefully raise the spirits of acupuncture medicine.
ACROS Fukuoka, the venue of the congress, is located between Tenjin and Nakasu, which are the centers of food culture and fashion in Kyushu. It takes approximately 10 minutes from Fukuoka Airport and also from Hakata Station. Thus, ACROS Fukuoka is a very convenient institute to hold a congress. In addition, since the Kyushu Shinkansen Bullet Train opened in 2011, it has become very convenient for congress participants to visit other scenic spots in Kyushu. We hope you will enjoy all the delicious local foods and rice wine ¡Èsake¡É.
We would like to express our gratitude for your cooperation, and sincerely hope to see you in Fukuoka.
